Majorstuen Fysikalske Institutt was established in 1934. In the beginning physiotherapy was the only given treatment.
In the years to follow it gradually expanded to become one of the largest physiotherapy centres in Oslo.
In 1990 we moved to our present location and soon added acupuncture to our name - Majorstuen Fysikalske Institutt og Akupunkur ( MFIA). Today we are 16 associates.
Besides our wide range of Physiotherapy treatment programs we also offer acupuncture treatments and classical massage.
Our acupuncturists are educated to give treatment in accordance with old Chinese medicine (TCM). This gives a wider range of treatment possibilities.
An increasing number of our patients receive both acupuncture and physiotherapy treatment. This is in accordance with our philosophy of treatment. We see that in combining these forms of therapy we can reach deeper in to the patient’s problem and that often gives a better result.
